The Terms of Service for the Marriage Matching Japan website are as follows.
All users of the Service are deemed to have fully agreed to these Terms by using the services of Marriage Matching Japan.

1) Warranty / Disclaimer
Marriage Matching Japan strives to assist all clients in finding an ideal marriage partner.
Marriage Matching Japan accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any actions that occur within, before, during, or after any relationship, whether the relationship is purely platonic, romantic, or of any other nature.
Marriage Matching Japan deals only with the information provided by individuals who declare that they are seeking a marriage partner. Marriage Matching Japan shall not be held responsible for any problems arising from information that was not effectively communicated, was concealed, or was inaccurate.
While Marriage Matching Japan is committed to helping people, especially its clients, find lasting marriage partners and build long and happy marriages, it is understood that people and circumstances change, and therefore relationships also change. Marriage Matching Japan cannot and does not guarantee that every client or service user will fully and without exception enjoy such a relationship.

2) Courteous Conduct (Character)
All contact, dating, meetings, and any other activities related to Marriage Matching Japan, its staff, or its clients must at all times be conducted with full respect, trust, and good faith.
Any attitude or conduct involving physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual abuse, threats, falsification, or any malicious nature, or any act by which a client harms another person in order to satisfy their own desires, shall be regarded as a violation of the Service.
The services of Marriage Matching Japan are provided to help clients achieve mutually satisfying and happy marriages. All persons must always behave with kindness and consideration toward others.

3) Warnings
Marriage Matching Japan operates its business for the purpose of helping people find ideal marriage partners and build long and happy marriages. Accordingly, users are expected to conduct themselves properly toward themselves and others in order to lead happy lives. If a service user’s conduct becomes unacceptable, the infringing user will receive a warning.
Clients may receive up to three levels of warning:
The first warning will be issued orally, in writing, or by electronic means.
The second warning will be issued in writing or by electronic means.
The third and final warning will be issued both in writing and by electronic means.
All service users agree to keep Marriage Matching Japan informed at all times of their up-to-date contact information, including actual residential address, email address, telephone number, and any other relevant details.
Each warning will state the reason for the warning and will include polite suggestions for corrective action to avoid further occurrences or resulting problems.
If abuse of the Service continues after three warnings, the user’s membership and right to use the Service shall be immediately suspended, and the user shall forfeit any remaining balance of fees paid upon application. Depending on the severity of the infringement, legal action may be taken and damages may be claimed.

4) Relationships
i) The services of Marriage Matching Japan are intended exclusively for unmarried persons. This includes persons who have always been unmarried, who are widowed, who are divorced, or whose current relationships are not of a serious or casual romantic or intimate nature.
ii) Service users are permitted to contact multiple potential partners during the stage of deciding whether they wish to date a particular person.
iii) Service users are permitted to date only one person at a time. Once a dating partner has been found, the user may date only that person until the relationship is formally ended. After ending the relationship, the user may not continue any level of intimate relationship with that person.
iv) Physical relationships and nudity are permitted only after a couple has married. Engaging in a physical relationship, spending the night together, being together in a state of undress, or exchanging nude photographs or videos shall be regarded as equivalent to a married state, regardless of whether a wedding ceremony has been held.
Please note that during dating, light physical contact such as kissing, holding hands, or hugging is permitted only with the mutual consent of both parties.
v) A single serious relationship may continue for a maximum of three months until a decision is made whether to marry. By the third month after the start of the relationship, the parties must decide either to marry or to separate and seek new partners.
vi) Any change in relationship status must be reported to the staff of Marriage Matching Japan as soon as possible.

5) Membership Status and Fees
All fees and charges must be paid promptly. Failure to pay may result in denial of service and possible legal action.
By becoming involved with Marriage Matching Japan, service users fully accept the fee structure and agree to fulfill all payment obligations.

6) Service Requirements
All service users must:
i) be earning an income,
ii) have their own residential address,
iii) have their own telephone, and
iv) regularly check their own email address.
All clients agree to submit legal documents that clearly show the information necessary to meet the conditions for use of Marriage Matching Japan’s services. Such documents include, but are not limited to, a copy of a passport, a driver’s license, and pay slips.
All personal information provided will be used in accordance with Marriage Matching Japan’s Privacy Policy.

7) Suspension of Service, Fees, and Penalties
If a user wishes to terminate registration for Marriage Matching Japan’s services, the user must submit a fully completed Service Withdrawal Form to their assigned counselor at Marriage Matching Japan one month in advance.
If a service user terminates use of Marriage Matching Japan’s services, any prepaid fees, after deduction of the amount corresponding to the notice period, shall be refunded.
As with other fees, registration fees and participation fees must be paid in advance. Only users whose most recent payments have been completed may use the Service. Accordingly, users who have not made the required payments will lose access to the Service and will not be able to date other service users.
Users who infringe or violate the Service in accordance with Clause 3 shall be subject to the separate provisions regarding refunds and penalties stated in Clause 3.
If a user who is obliged to pay service fees terminates use of the Service and subsequently marries or becomes engaged to another user of the Service (or a user of another service) at any time after withdrawal, the obligation to pay such fees shall continue. This applies even if the parties withdrew from the Service because they wished only to continue dating after meeting through the Service, and later married or became engaged months or years afterward.

In addition, any service user who violates Section 4 of Clause 4 shall be deemed to have entered into a de facto married state with the person they were dating, and the marriage/engagement fee shall become immediately payable to Marriage Matching Japan.

Marriage Matching Japan Privacy Policy
Marriage Matching Japan appropriately protects members’ personal information and strictly complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other related laws and regulations so that you can use our services with peace of mind.
